We need Jesus Christ in our lives today because the world is experiencing a growing sense of emptiness, insecurity, and restlessness, signs that humanity deeply needs Christ's salvation and merciful love.
Sin has separated humanity from God, creating a
fundamental need for reconciliation and salvation. According to
Christian belief, every person has sinned and fallen short of God's
perfect standard, resulting in spiritual death and separation from God,
which leads to eternal consequences. This separation is the core reason
why Jesus is necessary.
Jesus Christ is our solution.
Jesus Christ is seen as the only solution to this problem. He is believed to be God's perfect sacrifice, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross to take upon Himself the punishment for human sin, and rose again, defeating death.
Through His atonement, Jesus provides forgiveness, cleansing, and the possibility of a restored relationship with God. Without Him, there is no reconciliation with God.
Beyond salvation, Jesus is needed for abundant life here and now. He offers guidance, wisdom, comfort, and hope during difficult times, strength to resist temptation, and the power to live according to God's will.
His presence brings peace, purpose, and fulfillment that cannot be found in worldly pursuits. He is described as the source of true freedom from the guilt and power of sin, replacing fear and hopelessness with faith and hope.
Furthermore, Jesus is considered the only way to eternal life and a place prepared by God for believers.
His sacrifice and resurrection provide the foundation for a personal relationship with God, which is essential for navigating life's challenges and finding lasting meaning. As such, embracing Jesus is seen as essential for both present life and eternal destiny.
